Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026

Travel For Purpose (“we,” “us”) is a registered charity (EIN 86-3705490). This policy explains what we collect through travelforpurpose.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@travelforpurpose.org.

What we collect

  • What you give us on our forms (the 3-Day Challenge, Join the Movement, and the newsletter): your name, email, phone number, city and state, the ways you’d like to get involved, and whether you agreed to text messages.
  • Event registrations made through Luma: your name and email.
  • Donations through Stripe: your name, email, and the amount and date of your gift, plus your phone and billing address if you provide them. Stripe processes your card. We never see or store card numbers.
  • Records of consent: when you opted in to emails or texts, and when you opted out.

How we use it

  • To send what you asked for, like the 3-Day Challenge guide or a donation receipt.
  • To keep you updated about the community, events, challenges, and ways to get involved, if you agreed to hear from us.
  • To plan gatherings and grow local chapters in the cities where our members live.
  • To keep accurate donation records and meet our legal obligations.

Text messages (SMS)

If you check the text-message box on one of our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Travel For Purpose, such as a thank-you and encouragement during your 3-Day Reset, and occasional updates about events and ways to get involved. Agreeing is optional and is never required to download the guide, join, or give.

  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You’ll get one message confirming it, then no more. Reply START to opt back in.
  • Reply HELP for help, or email hello@travelforpurpose.org.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The service providers listed below that help us send messages receive only what they need to deliver them.

Email

When you sign up through one of our forms, you’ll receive emails from us about the challenge, community events, and ways to get involved. Every one includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops these emails; you may still get messages about something you requested, like a donation receipt.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that run parts of this site for us, and only so they can do that work:

  • Supabase (our database) and Vercel (website hosting)
  • Twilio (text messages)
  • Brevo (email newsletters and contact management) and Resend (confirmation emails)
  • Stripe (donation processing) and Luma (event registration)

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your contact information while you’re part of the community, and until you ask us to delete it. We keep donation records as long as tax and accounting rules require.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we have about you by emailing hello@travelforpurpose.org. We’ll respond within 30 days.

Children

Our community is for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Security

Our database is locked so that only our own servers can read it; it isn’t open to the public. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to the people and services that need it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
